In our body shop all our cars are stripped and metal fabrication works is carried out. We supply and fit new Mercedes panels were possible, on some models panels are not readily available so we have to fabricate them. We have the necessary tools needed, guillotine, stretchers & shrinkers, English wheel etc.. Our technicians can weld using Mig, Mag, tig and acetylene welders.


Once the cars fabrication is complete they move here. We use lead were possible to keep the use of plastic filler to a minimum. Once the filling is complete we apply 2K primers, and then prep the area or shell to be painted. We use ICI paints and have available both Aqua Base and Solvent Base systems in house. All painting is carried out in our low bake ovens with SATA spray guns.


Here we carry out anything from a minor service, MOT preparation to complete engine strip down and rebuilds. We can also offer computer engine and component diagnostic repairs.


Anything from a seat repair to a complete re-trim to a soft top replacement is carried out in this department. We source our leather from two suppliers on in the UK the other in Germany, we also use only original Sonnenland Mohair soft top hoods supplied from Germany.
We can now offer repairs or replacement of the rear plastic windows in the soft top of the R129 SL model range as these are prone to cracking. Al the wooden trim in the older models can be brought back to original specification by our chosen company n the UK.


At Heaney Motor Company we now offer a service to our clients were we will sell your classic car on a commission basis, thus taking the time and preparation associated with advertising and dealing with prospective buyers off your hands.
