At Heaney Motor Company we have over 20years experience in the servicing and maintance of your Classic Mercedes Benz. Our fully equipped workshop along with our trained technician can carry out anything from a minor lubrication service to a complete manufacturers service schedule.
Details listed below;

Lubrication Service 
  • Engine oil and filter change
  • Check and adjust engine fluid levels as necessary
  • Check condition and tension of drive belts
  • Check transmission fluid level
  • Check rear axle fluid level
  • Check brakes
  • Check suspension
  • Grease suspension lubricating nipples
  • Grease all door hinges & check straps
  • Inspect tyres for wear and damage
  • Check and adjust tyre pressures
  • Check operation of lights, horn and wipers / washers
  • Recommended at 3,000 mile interval 
Maintenance Service 
  • Lubrication service as detailed above
  • Adjust engine valve clearance
  • Clean air filter element or replace if necessary
  • Clean pollen filter or replace if necessary
  • Inspect/ clean & adjust spark plugs or replace if necessary
  • Check / clean contact points, distributor cap & rotor arm (replace if necessary) and adjust contact gap (grease cam and oil felt in cam and refill oiler)
  • Adjust ignition timing
  • Adjust clutch free travel (190SL/Ponton etc)
  • Remove wheels and brake drums (if applicable), check / clean shoes and check drums and dust caps of brake cylinders; check brake cylinders for leaks, check brake pads, callipers & discs for wear (replace as necessary)
  • Adjust hand brake; replace wheels
  • Recommended at 6,000 mile interval
Brake Fluid Change 
  • Using Air Bleeder force old brake fluid from reservoir & system.
  • Turn Bleeder to refill action, fill system with fresh fluid and bleed all lines.
  • Check system under pressure for leaks when fluid change process is complete.
  • Recommended every year 
Transmission Service 
  • Drain all old fluid from transmission while it is still hot, drain torque converter on automatic transmissions
  • Inspect old fluid condition before disposal
  • Refill with Mercedes-Benz approved automatic fluid
  • Recommended after every 12,000 mile interval 
Differential Service
  • Drain all old fluid from rear axle housing while it is still hot
  • Inspect old fluid condition before disposal
  • Refill with Mercedes-Benz approved fluid
  • Recommended after every 12,000 mile interval
